The Automatic Weather Station is situated on the summit of Cairn Gorm and provides temperature and wind data every half hour, the data is uploaded to this website regularly.

Status: OK. Motor and slider bearings recently replaced. De-icing fan replaced. Windspeed error - unsure if it is wiring or sensor fault, will chech on next visit. See our facebook page for details and updates.

The weather station and camera were set up by funded research projects, which finished a number of years ago. We continue to support these facilities as much as possible but regret that there may well be extended periods when they are unavailable.
